Why appointments get missed

A booking made weeks ago is easy to lose under a busy morning. The calendar notification can sit on a locked screen, and a text can be read and then forgotten while you are doing something else. The appointment itself did not move. The reminder did not interrupt the moment you needed to leave.

A practical pair is one call the day before, with the time and place, and a second call the morning of the appointment if the first one is easy to sleep through. Recurring schedules start on Focus. A single visit only needs a one-time call, which Starter includes.

Why a call beats a text reminder

A text can hold the address for you to reread, and that is useful. It can also land in a thread and stay unread until after you should have left. A ringing call asks you to pick up at the time you chose, which is harder to leave for later than a message you can glance at. On Time Call places the call. It does not send the text. If you want the address written down, send that yourself.

For businesses and clinics

This page is for a call to your own phone before an appointment you need to attend. Clinics and other businesses that call patients or clients can read appointment reminder phone calls and medical appointment reminder calls.
