How to set up wellness check call reminders
Create your account
As a wellness call service, it places that daily call for you and plays your message; it does not stay on the line. Sign up free at ontimecall.com. Starter and Focus call your own number. Calling a parent needs Support, which includes you plus up to 4 other people. The number can be a mobile or a landline in the UK, US, and Canada.
Write your check-in message
Record your voice on any plan, or use AI text-to-speech from Focus and up, with a brief, supportive check-in script.
Schedule daily check-ins
Daily repeats start on Focus. Starter is 3 free calls, one-time, with no recurring calls.
Track answered calls
At the set time, On Time Call rings the phone and plays the message. On Support, you get an email if the call is not answered. Read how to set up recurring daily check-in calls.

What a wellness or welfare check call means
People use wellness check, welfare check, and check-in for the same family habit: a call to hear that a parent who lives alone is up and reachable. On this page that means a scheduled call with your recorded message, or an AI voice on a paid plan. Nobody is waiting live on the line.
A police welfare check is different. That is a visit or call by the police when someone may be in danger. On Time Call does not contact the police, and it does not watch the person between calls.
This is not an emergency service. If you think someone is in danger, call 911 in the US or Canada, or 999 in the UK.
If the check-in does not ring, Silence Unknown Callers or Do Not Disturb is a common reason. The checks are in the guide to calls that are not ringing.
The daily caregiver dilemma
If you live in another city, or you are at work at the time you would normally call, the check-in depends on you remembering and being free. A scheduled call still happens when your day is full. On Support you get an email if it is not answered, so a missed ring is visible without you sitting by the phone. That email is not a medical alert, and a missed call can also mean the phone was in another room.
How this differs from calling manually every day
A manual call is a live conversation, and you can change the question based on the answer. This service cannot do that. It plays one message at the time you set, which is useful when the goal is a reliable ring rather than a talk. You can still call in person on the days you want a real conversation. Read how to set up recurring daily check-in calls if you want the repeat steps in order.
Wellness check call FAQ
What is a wellness check call?
A wellness check call here is a scheduled phone call that plays your recorded message or, on a paid plan, an AI voice. There is no live person on the line. A police welfare check is a separate visit or call by the police when someone may be in danger, and this service does not do that.
How is this different from calling manually every day?
A manual call needs you to remember the time and to be free to talk. This is a scheduled ring with a message you set once. On Support you get an email if that call is not answered, which a call you place yourself does not send.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan is for trying a call to your own number: 3 free calls, one-time, with no credit card. Calling a parent needs Support, and daily repeats start on Focus.
Which countries are supported?
On Time Call places calls to mobiles and landlines in the UK, US, and Canada. Numbers outside those countries are rejected.
Can I call multiple people?
Starter and Focus call your own number only. Support calls you plus up to 4 other people. Pro, for up to 50 recipients, is coming soon.
Can I get notified about missed calls?
On Support you get an email if the call is not answered. Starter and Focus do not send that email.
Any consent considerations?
Get permission before you call someone else, and follow local calling rules. Keep the message short and supportive.
Is On Time Call a medical device or medical advice?
No. On Time Call is a scheduled phone call reminder and check-in service. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and does not replace professional healthcare.
Can I use On Time Call as an emergency or monitoring service?
No. This is not an emergency or monitoring service. If you think someone is in danger, call 911 (US/Canada) or 999 (UK).
What does On Time Call provide for wellness check calls?
On Time Call lets you schedule a call that plays your voice or, on a paid plan, an AI voice. The person who answers does not need an app, and nobody is waiting live on the line.
