Bill payment reminder calls: a phone call before the due date

Updated: October 9, 2026

Bill payment reminder calls ring your phone before a due date so you remember to pay. A credit card payment reminder uses the same idea: the call does not pay the card, and it does not log in to your bank. It only plays the message you set.

What the call does, and what it does not do

On Time Call does not connect to your bank, your card company, or your landlord. It does not see a balance, and it cannot send a payment. The phone rings at the time you chose and plays your recording, or an AI voice on a paid plan. You then pay in whatever way you already use.

Keep the bank's own alerts or autopay where they suit you. An alert from the card company can show the amount. Autopay can move the money if you have set it up and you trust the amount. A phone call is the extra prompt for the moment you need to sit down and do it, or to check that autopay ran. See phone call reminders for the general setup.

How to schedule around a due date

Starter includes 3 free calls, one-time, to your own number. That is enough to try a single call the day before one bill. Paid plans, starting with Focus, add repeat options: daily, weekly on the same weekday as the first call, monthly, or specific days of the week. You also set how many times that series repeats, within the plan's limit.

Monthly is the match for a bill that is due on the same day each month. The next call uses that day of the month. In a shorter month, the call falls on the last day of that month, so a first call on the 31st will not land on the 31st in April. If you need the 1st instead, schedule that date yourself.

If the due date moves, do not rely on Monthly. Schedule a one-time call for each due date. Weekly only repeats the weekday of the first call, which rarely matches a bill. Specific days of the week are for things like every Monday, not for a date on the calendar.

Rent, cards, and other bills

A rent payment reminder is the same kind of call with a different message and date. Say the amount only if you want it spoken aloud, because anyone who answers hears it. Two bills on different days are two calls. Support calls you plus up to 4 other people. Starter and Focus call your own number only.

Put the call a day or two before the due date if you need time to transfer money, or on the morning of the due date if you only need a nudge. The call does not know whether you already paid. If you use autopay, the message can say "check that the payment went out" instead of "pay this now."

Frequently asked questions

Does On Time Call pay the bill for me?
No. The call plays a reminder you recorded or typed. It does not connect to your bank, card, or landlord, and it cannot move money. You still pay the bill yourself, or you use autopay if you have set that up with the company.

Can I repeat a bill reminder every month?
Yes, on Focus and the other paid plans. Choose Monthly and the call repeats on the same day of the month as the first one. In a shorter month it falls on the last day of that month. Starter is one-time calls only.

What if the due date changes each month?
Schedule a separate one-time call for that date. Monthly only repeats the day of the month from the first call. Starter includes 3 free calls for trying those one-time calls on your own number.

Can this remind me about rent and a credit card?
Yes. Each bill is its own call, with its own date and message. A rent due date and a card due date that fall on different days need two schedules. The call still does not pay either of them.

Which phone numbers can the reminder call?
On Time Call calls mobiles and landlines in the UK, US, and Canada. Starter and Focus call your own number. Support calls you plus up to 4 other people.
